Forum Vision and Purpose

It is the aim of the SUBTLE REALM forums to function as a community of those who have a sincere interest in learning about and exploring the practical application of concepts about extension of consciousness beyond the limits of the human body. In this community we strive to share our knowledge, experience and wisdom through holding exchanges and discussions, in the spirit of mutual support and respect.

Admittance

When an individual makes a request to join the group we ask that he or she agree to the following stipulations out of respect for the other members of this on-line forum.

Acceptable and Unacceptable Behavior

The following behavior is considered "acceptable participation" in the forum:

1. free and open-minded discussion regarding concepts and ideas, methods of study and of practical application of such concepts and ideas, and collaborations in investigation of more subtle aspects of human nature

The following behavior is not considered "acceptable participation" in the forum:

1. Attack upon or slander of any of the founders of the SubtleRealm site or forums: this is to be distinguished from genuinely honest inquiries in which it is clear the inquirer either does not have the experience nor understanding of the concepts and topics to know the difference about what is being asked yet exhibits genuine interest and sincerity
2. Cross-posting from or to other forums
3. Solicitation of business in any form
4. Disrespect of fellow members
5. Personal attacks on fellow forum members: this is to be distinguished from fair, open-minded, and respectful discussions in which participants are examining each others' methods or reasoning; agreement between participants is not required but respect is an absolute requirement
6. Long-winded postings that are not solicited by any current discussion
7. Attempts to supplant the intended SubtleRealm approach of free and open enquiry and exploration with an imposed religion, dogma, superstition or restrictive belief system that provides the participant with no means to verify the truthfulness of its statements
8. Attempts to over-intellectualize
9. Foul language of any kind

Remedies For Unacceptable Behavior

The following remedies will be followed in the event that unacceptable behavior is exhibited by a member(-s):

1. In the case of an uncivil exchange between two forum members: the forum members will be warned by the Moderators to take the discussion off-line and work out an agreement of mutual tolerance before posting further exchanges between them.
2. In the case where an individual or individuals ignore the warning of the Moderators he/she or they will be placed on "moderated status" for one month. During that time all messages from the individual(-s) will be monitored: those which are in keeping with the advice of the Moderators will be posted; any messages not in keeping with the advice of the Moderators will be deleted.
3. In the case of direct attacks and/or slander of the SubtleRealm owners moderators or forum participants the individual(-s) making such postings will be immediately placed on moderated status, along with a strict warning from the Moderators. In order to regain unrestricted access to the forum the individual(-s) will be required to issue an apology to the forum community, and shall be kept on moderated status for a period of one month. If such an individual(-s), after regaining access to the forum community after the one-month period of moderation, repeats any slander as mentioned above, he / she / they will be unsubscribed from the forum and will not be able to regain entrance for a period of no less than one year, and only then with the reasoned consideration of the Moderators.
4. In the case of long-winded, non-solicited topics, the poster or posters will be advised to only post a reference to the material, such as a link to a website citing the material being pointed out, or such as an attachment of a file containing the material that is requested to not be posted
5. In the case of posting of any commercial advertisings such posts will be removed and the participant warned; if it is apparent the poster gained access for the sole purpose of soliciting business the participant will be summarily removed without recourse of any kind
6. In the case of profanity of any kind the posting will be removed; participants are welcome to re-post but profanity must be absent from the new posting
7. In the case where a member(-s) attempts to supplant the open approach of the SubtleRealm site, he / she / they will be advised by the Moderators (if not already advised by the other community members) that this behavior is inappropriate and is not to be engaged in; ignoring this advice will place the individual(-s) on moderated status for one month. Continued attempts to supplant will result in the individual(-s) being unsubscribed.
8. In the case where a forum member(-s) cross-posts materials from other forums, or posts discussions from this forum on other forums at other sites, such an action will be considered a violation of trust of the SubleRealm forum community. He / she / they will immediately be placed on moderated status, and must give a reasonable explanation for such postings before being allowed back. Failure to give just cause will keep the cross-poster on moderated status for one month. Further failure to give just cause will result in his / her / their being unsubscribed without further recourse.
